Specialist I (BS-I)
Behavioral
Specialist I (BS-I) workers offer In-Home Support Services on a
one-on-one basis to children up to the age of 21, focusing on a
wide array of mental health diagnosis, including children with Autism
and Mental Retardation. A BS-I primarily focuses on behavior management,
increased skill development and physical development activities.

The
goal of these services is to achieve a demonstrated increase in
a child’s functioning level, increased skill development and
a corresponding decrease in maladaptive behaviors. The BS-I encourages

Specialist II (BS-II)
Behavioral
Specialist II (BS-II) providers perform clinical assessments, consultations,
and evaluations while developing the Individualized Treatment Plan
(ITP) for a client. Additionally, they provide supervision and support
to BS-I workers. BS-II workers are licensed Psychiatrists, Psychologists,
Physicians, Professional Counselors, Social Workers or Advanced
Practice Registered Nurses that meet guidelines established by the
State of Maine. Collaborating with the entire treatment team, their
objective is to assist clients in developing skills in a safe environment
to achieve their goals.
